These positions will be located at the new Arthrex manufacturing facility in Pendleton, SC.  We are looking for individuals for both day and night shift openings.

 

Main Objective:

Performs a variety of quality control test and inspection functions on materials, components and finished goods at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Performs and documents dimensional inspections on inventory parts using engineering prints, Inspection procedures or work instructions.

  2. Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.

  3. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.

  4. May perform, as needed, nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

  5. May specialize in particular area of quality control such as incoming material, process control, product evaluation, and final inspection.

  6. Detects nonconformances during production operations effectively.

  7. May prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.

  8. May perform quality control equipment calibrations and records the data as required.

  9. Generates nonconformance reports as required and follows Inspection procedures.

  10. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

  11. Evaluates data to indicate deviations from existing standards.

Education and Experience:


  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • 1 years of QC or related industry experience required

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Ability to interpret and understand engineering prints and the ability to use measuring tools and devices.    Must have mechanical aptitude and be detail oriented. 

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Measuring and test equipment, PC and spreadsheets.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.  Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. 

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
