This role is responsible for representing Composites One at our customer site, interacting and coordinating directly with the onsite functional area managers to effectively maintain and replenish customer vending machines; and liaising to assist in monitoring stock levels, resolving issues and expediting critical needs in support of customer requirements. The Onsite VMI Coordinator will be responsible for communicating all relevant information to their direct manager including, but not limited to, notification of critical stock outs, coordinating new requirements; opportunities for quality or process improvements, and communicating opportunities to provide additional value-added products or services for increased customer satisfaction and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and monitors inventory usage at customer site, including creating inventory orders.
  • Ensures accurate and timely receipt of all VMI materials at customer site.
  • Complete cycle counts on a weekly basis ensuring high VMI accuracy.
  • Prepares and completes physical inventory on an annual basis.
  • Builds strong customer relationships with key Team Members with open communication being a priority.
  • Communicates potential stockouts, damaged material/packaging and/or labeling to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and is dressed in Composites One attire while onsite at customer location.
  • Proactively recommends process improvements to offsite management in an effort to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensures all safety protocols are being followed and adhered to, including Composites One safety culture and customer site safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Ensures accurate and timely receipt and shipping of all materials following FIFO and potential freight claim procedures while supporting all freight and safety policies while working in Composites One distribution center as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, pick/pack. and an RF Scanner.
  • Knowledge of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazardous materials shipping.
  • Forklift Certification- Training and Certification provided by company, must be willing to train for certification
  • Ability to learn internal database and software systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, with minimal supervision.
  • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity; ability to independently lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for entire length of shift; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, push and pull with hands and arms.
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; hand-eye coordination.
