The Lecturer will teach undergraduate courses, coordinate undergraduate laboratories, and advise student design, inquiry, and entrepreneurship teams. The Lecturer will also work with clinical, regulatory, and industry professionals to understand needs in the field. Other duties as assigned. Teach a minimum of two courses per semester. The teaching responsibilities may include hands-on laboratory experiments and undergraduate core courses in a variety of areas, including biomaterials, instrumentation, imaging, biomechanics, cell biology, and tissue engineering. Advise student design, inquiry, and entrepreneurship teams. Manage laboratory resources to support the educational mission. Work with clinical, regulatory, and industry professionals to understand needs in the field in an effort to continually shape a cutting edge educational experience for undergraduates in Bioengineering.
Education: Ph.D. in Bioengineering
Preferred Education: Bioengineering (biomaterials, instrumentation, imaging, biomechanics, cell biology, and tissue engineering)
Experience: Teaching/research/industry experience in Bioengineering.
Preferred Experience: Experience with multidisciplinary teams and experience mentoring small teams of students; innovative methods in teaching; ABET and accreditation; and experience with design, inquiry, and entrepreneurship teams.
