Job Description:

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a Litigation Manager at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX.  The Litigation Manager is responsible for litigation management related to Austin’s captive insurance company’s general and auto liability insurance policies.  The position reports to Austin’s Director of Insurance Services.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities


  • Evaluate insurance coverage issues related to Austin’s captive insurance company’s general and auto Liability insurance policies

  • Direct and supervise outside litigation and coverage counsel

  • Forecast and adjust reserves

  • Maintain a Litigation Log and Significant Claims Watchlist

  • Report to internal clients and senior management on status of litigation/claims

  • Develop and update claims data to track performance

  • Identify claims trends and develop risk management and loss control strategies

  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in litigation management required

  • Experience with additional insured, contractual indemnity, and construction insurance issues is a plus

  • Attorneys (3 – 7 years) are also welcome to apply (admitted in any State)

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
