RESPONSIBILITIES:

The US Restructuring practice has recently been constituted as a devoted team led by four MDs each with 20+ years of experience in the industry. Duff & Phelps' global restructuring practice boasts over 400 professionals in approximately 15 jurisdictions. The firm is committed to growing the US practice to an industry leader and the successful candidate will be on the ground floor of that growth.

• Responsible for preparing analyses, reports and presentations in support of restructuring efforts and negotiations
• Support Managing Directors and Directors in
  
  
  • Advising companies and their creditors in financial distress, including pre-crisis situations, out-of-court workouts, and Chapter 11 reorganizations
  • Distressed asset sales and special situations financing
  • Bankruptcy financial reporting
  • Business development activities
  
  
• Prepare and analyze financial projections
• Assess corporate value applying standard valuation techniques
• Prepare and present work product for internal and external use
• Assist in business development activities, including research and pitch presentations
• Individuals will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit

• Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting or Economics from a top tier university
• Experience at a major investment bank, financial advisory firm or restructuring advisor a plus
• Strong analytical and financial aptitude
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance
• Ability to quickly and effectively process and analyze information
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environment; willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
