Software Asset Management (SAM) is the process that ensures compliance with the legal agreements, purchasing and lifecycle management of various software packages. Our goals are to reduce IT expenditures, free up valuable human resources, mitigate compliance risks and maximize the value of software throughout its lifecycle.

The FRS Senior Software Asset Management Analyst has four main objectives:


  • Centrally manage all software vendors within a single technology focused Vendor Management Team
  • Help reduce the time to market and minimize the complexity in our current environment
  • Drive savings through reconciliation and software efficiencies
  • Direct junior staff

Your role as Software Asset Management Senior Associate:

We are seeking a Senior Software Asset Expert who will be responsible for daily strategic/tactical management and control of the Banks software portfolio. This role will be responsible for managing license entitlements, approving installations, verifying usage, license renewals and procurement of software. This person will be pivotal in the transition of a federated SAM model to a centralized model.

The candidate will need to work closely with our Enterprise Architecture, Service Delivery and Development teams on all enterprise tool selections while supporting the Bank as a whole. Additionally, they will also be required to understand a larger federate software environment and look for opportunities to find synergies in license management What we are looking for:


  • Software Management including Continuous Request, Harvest, Procurement, Renewal and Disposal services
  • Development, Maintenance and Optimization of License Positions
  • Software and Online Service Usage Metering and Optimization
  • Trustworthy Data Management; developing a reliable view of entitlement will use to interpret complex contracts and amendments, grants, license upgrades, and use rights
  • Deep understanding software license contract language and how to manage subsequent risks/reward from said contract
  • Management of Bank wide software budget
  • Management of Bank wide software procurement
  • Strong Project Management background a plus
