The Federal Reserve Vendor Management Program has four main objectives:


  • Centrally manage all technology vendors within a single technology focused Vendor Management Team
  • Ensure that Business Vendors, whom use technology as key part of delivery, are aligned with the Technology VM Best practices.
  • Vastly improve our capabilities to outsource and speed of outsourcing when possible.
  • Manage end to end RFPs with core partners

Your role as Vendor Management Team Manager:

We are seeking a Vendor Management Team Manager Role for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York whom will be responsible for end-to-end management, procurement and alignment of all technology vendors for The Bank. This incorporates project management skills with vendor management knowledge. This role will work very closely with The Bank's Legal, PVM and Strategic Planning Office.

This candidate will manage a diverse team of individuals whom are responsible for IT vendor contracting, purchasing, performance relationship and risk management. They will meet with SMEs to understand the technology team's needs, interface with cyber security specialists and risk managers to ensure we select the correct sourcing partners and products. This group will own the contractual and performance relationship while working with the operational owners. This team will be responsible for ensuring that delivery meets expectations. They will also be responsible for authoring SOWs, MOUs and Exception Letters that articulate those expectation.

This position will support discussions with all vendors to minimize risk and maximize value in the acquisition of SaaS, software, hardware, telecommunications, cloud, and related professional services. They will have co-ownership of the end-to-end sourcing process; from strategy development through contract signature. In addition to the above, this candidate will need to learn the Federal Reserve System as whole. They will be responsible for managing inter-bank support programs where other partner Bank provide vendor like services. What we are looking for:


  • Detail Oriented
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Manages the end-to-end vendor procurement process
  • Ensures suppliers' overall compliance with the service levels and other critical contractual obligations
  • Author SOW & Exception letters on requests behalf of the Technology Team
  • Verify performance to each SOW & Corrective Actions
  • Reviews overall user satisfaction with the products and services
  • Aids in the planning of new products or services and the removal (termination/transition) of vendor products and services
  • Authors and recommends contractual change orders
  • Manages all vendor audits
  • Facilitates the RFX, RFI & SEI process for TG
  • Administrates the "Proof of Concept" & Supplier Enables Innovation processes for the Technology Group
  • Manages all vendor onboarding and off boarding activities
  • Developing and inventory of all partner banks with technology touchpoints
  • Reviewing existing MOUS, SLAs and agreements
  • Reviewing end-to-end spend
  • Defining and implementing the appropriate relationship for partner banks based on services provided
  • Acting as a liaison for partner bank services
  • Looking at existing management frameworks and applying them as needed
