What we do:

This management position is in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, which resides within the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Technology Group's Information Security function. Information Security New York (ISNY) is responsible for providing services that ensure the adequate protection of the Bank's information assets. In addition to the identity and access management, ISNY provides other key security services such as vulnerability management, cyber risk assessments, cyber policy and awareness, incident response, and insider threat mitigation. By being part of the IAM team, you will work closely with your colleagues in all of these security domains because identity is foundational to all services offered.

Your role as IAM Standards and Compliance Manager:

The position's primary responsibility is to manage a team of security analysts supporting implementation and maintenance of access-related policies and standards. The team transforms these standard controls into requirements for IAM processes and automation, which they then must ensure are effectively implemented. The manager will provide consultation to the business and participate in the implementation of new systems to ensure compliance.

The individual will work closely with its colleagues, project managers, architects, and engineers to continue to improve IAM discipline maturity. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with the Bank's business areas and control functions to develop, integrate, and apply technical IAM solutions towards an optimum future state design, accomplished through a multi-phase portfolio of projects. The scope of the IAM initiatives might include protection of mission-critical applications and systems that support market operations, financial institution supervision, services to banking organizations, services to the U.S. Treasury Department, and internal Bank operations. The IAM platforms being implemented will expose the candidate to cutting edge IAM systems and business critical applications that enable the Federal Reserve mission. What we are looking for:

This is a manager position responsible for a small team of highly skilled security analysts on the front line of defending critical infrastructure systems Federal Reserve of NY operates. The ideal candidate will be an excellent people manager with a technical security knowledge and experience.

• 5 years of related information security experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
• Desired CISSP or similar security certification; Cloud certification a plus.
• Proven experience managing agile security teams
• Identity and Access Management experience in medium to large size organization
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining security standards and policies
• Ability to transition documented controls into automated processes
• Solid understanding of integrating identity and access management with other security disciplines
• Experience in implementing IAM solutions in the Cloud
• Ability to successfully drive change across organization
• Desired experience implementing identity lifecycle workflows using Sailpoint Identity IQ
• Professional level of understanding IAM principles, standards, and technologies
• Proven ability to work with the business on implementing security controls
• Desire to continuously improve and evolve IAM processes to achieve targeted maturity levels
