DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Children's Programming is responsible for developing, producing and supervising WGBH multi media productions for children and families. Children's Programming is committed to creating and delivering the highest quality content on television that engages children and enriches their lives with new learning experiences while providing valuable resources for their parents, caregivers, and families.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Production Assistant reports to the Production Team of the animated preschool television series Wombats (working title). The Production Assistant will assist in all aspects of production including content preparation, delivery, and post production.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide administrative and clerical support, such as setting up and maintaining production schedules, emailing correspondence with third-party entities, recording all meeting notes, and maintaining and organizing production files to our online server.


  • Coordinate and support the animation production team on all aspects of production including designs, storyboards, voice recordings, rough cuts, etc.


  • Assist production team with input and deliverables from all production partners.


  • Assist in the voice record process for the season, including aggregating record materials, distributing materials to the cast and crew, and remotely joining record sessions when possible.


  • Coordinate with production team on aspects of post-production, including promos and packaging.


  • Be a resource to answer questions and provide assets for internal and external partners


SKILL SET


  • Must have proven organizational, editorial, and computer skills as well as the ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline.


  • Must have excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.


  • Strong interest in children's programming.


  • Required computer experience includes: Proficiency with Mac OS and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
