As a member of the company's Corporate Finance team, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for a variety of reporting, systems, and analytical functions. The analyst will develop reports and financial models that analyze business performance, support long-range planning, and model future performance and business valuations. Additionally, the Analyst will support other finance and accounting functions and groups as the needs of the business may require. Duties:
Responsible for the quarterly Sales Reporting Package used for internal and public reporting
Work cross-functionally with the Sales and General Management teams to ensure accuracy of quarterly sales results
Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Assist with quarterly earnings process as needed
Prepare reports and analysis for senior management and board of directors showing actual versus forecasted performance
Gain understanding of existing asset models, including asset performance, asset returns, valuations, trends, and assumptions.
Identify and drive improvement areas within the overall sales reporting process and forecast
Present results of analysis and research on a variety of business operations topics
Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite's culture and 8 Guiding Principles
Support other financial, accounting and operations needs as may arise
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with Power Pivot a plus)
Ability to organize and analyze large sets of data into meaningful and concise reports and propose solutions to management
Proficiency in SQL and MS Access (preferred but not required)
Excels in a team-oriented work environment
Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Exhibits a strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines
Experience / Education:
4-year degree with a major in finance, accounting, or computer sciences
Minimum 3.5 GPA in major and overall
2+ years relevant finance and/or analytical experience
Experience with Hyperion Essbase software (preferred but not required)
