Data Modeling & Solution Costing Manager at United Lex in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description:

Support client pursuits in the sales (business development) transition and execution stages as part of the broader Digital Legal Transformation team. This role will create reusable data analytics and costing assets for DLX and the UnitedLex domain business units, and will be a key contributor in the detailed design and build of law department wide transformation scoping, solution shaping, and costing - with a keen focus on internal resource optimization, and law department external spend. 

Under Enterprise Architecture, this role will work closely with pursuit, proposal, transition and delivery teams from all parts of the UnitedLex, including Enterprise PMO, ULX Shared Services, Advisory, Corporate Functions, and the UnitedLex Business Units  

 

REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

• BA/BS in Finance, Business Analytics, MIS, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field


• Minimum 2 years’ experience with a leading consulting firm or business process outsourcing organization in a consulting, data analyst or similar role


• Strong mastery of financial modeling and data analytics, with related operational experience


• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with the ability and credibility to foster client buy-in and trust


• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously


• Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with expert use of Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other visualization tools


• Experience with legal department operations, systems, or data a plus


• Experience in Python, R, SQL or other data manipulation and analytics languages a plus


• Willingness to travel up to 35% when conditions allow

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop resourcing and costing models to deliver optimal savings while meeting business objectives for large scale transformation engagements.


• Partner with Domains, Enterprise & Solution Architects, Finance, and HR in accounting for capture of potential cost in solution delivery and developing compelling business cases through the pricing process.


• Perform analysis on survey, invoice, and Summary data in discovering opportunities and measuring their impact to our clients.


• Determine baseline’s from provided client data upon which deal viability and future delivery will be measured against.


• Present findings through interactive dashboards, written and/or oral reports to both internal and externa stakeholders.


• Validate assumptions and analysis in Due Diligence and refinement of the solutions, based on findings


• Collaborate with DLX Enterprise Architect on solution approach and strategy, and subsequent impact to financial architecture of pursuit


• Compile, review, and validate Client baseline inputs, including total cost of compensation, labor costs, non-payroll, rate cards, cost of corporate function support, and other Client related baseline items


• Collaborate with Client on sign-off of "solutioning” baseline for use in business case estimations
