ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  3. Read, ensure understanding, and adhere to all assigned ICON GPHS SOPs and working procedures.

  4. In collaboration with the President, Executive Director, Finance and Executive Team, provide leadership to the company related to the following:

    • Defining the goals and strategy to support the company's vision.

    • Identification of risk and contingency planning.

    • Assessing and revising operations to provide for efficiency and effectiveness.



  5. Coordinate, prepare and distribute internal reporting schedules including, but not limited to, the following:

    • Internal Monthly Financial Reports

    • Internal Monthly Corporate Schedules

    • Monthly Variance Schedules

    • Quarterly Board of Director Reports and Presentations

    • Annual Budget Reports and Presentations



  6. Coordinate responses to questions from schedules distributed with prioritization on questions from corporate finance teams.

  7. Actively participate in work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Implement agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings.

  8. Proactively seek opportunities to improve efficiency and results by using knowledge and technical expertise to recommend solutions or to address issues before they become significant problems.

  9. Provide guidance to finance staff members and mentor junior staff members.

  10. Maintains a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.

  11. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications


Experience1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree highly desired. (preferred)
2. Seven (7) + years prior experience in professional level position providing financial analysis and reporting to external and internal business stakeholders. (preferred)
3. Prior experience in the management/accounting of Government contracts and/or understanding of the Contract Research business model preferred. (preferred)
4. Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFs, etc.). (preferred)
5. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics SL desirable. (preferred)
6. Must possess professionalism, sensitivity, discretion, and sound judgment. (preferred)
7. Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. (preferred)
8. Ability to manage several varied tasks and prioritize workload with attention to detail. (preferred)
9. Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training. (preferred)
