SUMMARY:
The Project Technician position, is chiefly responsible for the technical design, delivery, and implementation of customized projects, sold through our in-house Sales Team. This is a combination of both an in-office and on-site position, where most of the strategic design work will be done at our home office, and the implementation thereof will be delivered onsite at client locations. The successful candidate will be one, who has a passion for technology, and an engrained capacity to serve customers by providing, a true 'concept to completion' project experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works proficiently within large networks and distributed computing environments.
Performs progressively more complex and responsible tasks in a computing and networking environment.
Plans, execute, and successfully delivers on concurrent mid- to large-scale technology projects.
Provides mentoring and direction to project team members in meeting project objectives.
Escalates all unresolved technology or personnel issues to the Project Manager.
Provides support to Project Manager in developing network requirements and scope statements, defines project deliverables and their timed implementation in accordance with the project plan.
Develops project plans, resource plans, and project estimates in collaboration with multiple departments.
Ensures that milestones are achieved on-time and on-budget and in scope by dealing with or escalating issues with sufficient time for course correction.
Develops and monitors risk and contingency plans, in a readied state of preparation at all times.
Manages project change control process, keeping all levels of engagement open and up to date.
Tracks and monitors project issues and resolutions.
Participates in team meetings and participates in project review meetings.
Ensures effective and proactive communications to Project Team Members.
Tracks, Follows and Reports on Project Changes or Updates to Deliverable Implementation Schedule.
Ensures strict quality of all project deliverables.
Contributes to a safe working environment, at all times, being an active participant in OSHA Safety Meetings as scheduled by the Project Manager.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Project Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CompTia A+ Certification, Active and Current
Proficient Use of ConnectWise (Service & Project Ticketing Platform)
Interpersonal skills, such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care
At least 2 - 5 years of experience working as a Level I or II Technical Resource, with Project Experience.
Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to promote business uptime.
Above Basic Comprehension of Network Setups and Network Security Configurations
At least 1 - 3 years of experience working in IT Service Team/MSP NOC Team Environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
