Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. Position Overview


The Data & Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that HUS sales data sources enable the strategic direction and intent of the company. The Data & Business Intelligence strategy and subject matter expertise for information management and is a key partner to sales management and territory managers in all markets. The role is responsible for the plan, implementation and management of sales data resources. In addition, the Data & Business Analyst will establish standards, guidelines and best practices for HUS to ensure that the sales data is effectively managed.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Understand HUS's sales data, business priorities and success measures to design sales reports for targeted audiences.

  • Manage HUS customer masters and condition records in SAP

  • Set up sales DOGs & partner information in SAP

  • Design and build intuitive and readable dashboards using visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Azure for sales management

  • Collaborate with sales teams to create KPI dashboards for alliance customers

  • Load yearly sales quotas for all HUS sales into SAP

  • Resolve and correct sales credit issues

  • Calculate commissions for HUS sales and manage sales agent commissions

  • Monitor dual credit sales for the electric utility and communication markets

  • Manage Power BI security and access for sales apps

  • Provide training/assistance as needed for the tools given to sales


Skills and Experience



  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Data Science. Certification in one of the following technologies preferred: Cloud, mobile, Database, Big Data, BI, or Data Science

  • 4+ years of success in consultative/complex technical deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications required

  • Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/projects required

  • Knowledge of cloud development platforms preferred

  • Knowledge of SAP S4HANA preferred


Education


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
