We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client's team as an IT Field Service Engineer - Level 1 Support in East Windsor, New Jersey. This role will provide front-line primary technical support to end-users on various technical issues and problems relating to branch hardware and software. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build relationships with each branch you are covering in the Central, NJ area
Distribute, set up, and maintain inventory of the equipment needed
Act as primary point of contact for IT within Central, NJ zone
Diagnose, respond, document, and resolve service tickets in a timely manner according to SLA
Escalate or coordinate between IT Staff, Vendors, and Manufactures to implement the appropriate solutions
Lead and/or support any Operational Projects for replacement of equipment
Execute or coordinate preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades with IT Staff, Vendors, and Manufactures
Maintain spare parts inventory according to company guidelines and return specific spare parts as designated by policy
Perform root cause analysis, develop checklists, and/or SOPs for typical problems
Recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention
Support multiple platforms (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, network equipment, printers, scanners, BioMedical devices, clinical application integration, and other peripheral equipment)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT Service Desk or Field Engineer role required
Understanding of basic electromechanical and mechanical concepts
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and approaches
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong computer skills with the ability to obtain specific certifications
Good knowledge about computer's software and hardware
Excellent customer-service skills
Experience with Remote Desktop support
Travel required to support each branch
EDUCATION
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree with related graduate course work in scientific, computer, or engineering subject certification preferred
