The Leadership and Organization Effectiveness Consultant will be responsible for design, delivery and on-going program management of leadership development learning opportunities. The ideal candidate must be self-driven with a high degree of ownership, have a strong knowledge and experience in adult learning, virtual instructional design and delivery of blended training and development. This role will report to the Manager of Learning & Leadership Development and work closely with other key stakeholders to ensure work is aligned with Ameren's overall strategy and direction which includes Ameren's Workforce Strategy and Leadership, Talent and Culture Pillars. Critical to success will be effective working relationships with Leadership and Organization Effectiveness team members, Ameren leadership, and HR Services partners.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and measuring effectiveness of Ameren's leadership development strategies and programs including redesigning, launching, and continuous improvement of New Leader Development and Onboarding programs


  • Maintain a solid understanding of business concepts and strategic alignment, a pragmatic approach to achieving results, strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to build relationships and work effectively with leadership, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.


  • Champion Learning by serving as learning subject matter expert to analyze job tasks, work processes and learning needs of target audience to identify optimal instructional strategies with defined learning objectives, with ability to deliver the learning, as needed.


  • Strengthen our All-In Culture through development of programs and platforms that deliver agile, accessible, connected and just-in-time learning that promotes a growth mindset.


  • Design, develop and foster innovation through the use of technology to deliver effective learning solutions, providing technical expertise for virtual learning and conversion of existing Instructor-Led programs for Virtual Instruction. Recommend design and/or process changes or automation opportunities to ensure effectiveness in diverse and evolving business contexts.


  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs, leveraging metrics and stakeholder insights to drive continuous improvement. Continuously align core processes with Ameren's overall workforce strategy, values, culture and business needs.


  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify emerging and critical skills, knowledge and learning needs to be included in training resources, using platforms and learning tools that support the needs of independent learners and accelerate learner-driven development.


  • Lead or serve on teams designed to advance Ameren's overall learning strategy efforts. Responsibilities may vary - and in the short-term, will include responsibility for leading Ameren's core and leadership programs. These responsibilities may shift or change over time, providing opportunities for cross-training and professional development.


  • Manage and coordinate external vendor partners who are engaged in aspects of Ameren's leadership development programs and processes.


  • Stay current on research and practices in learning and leadership development. Deepen expertise within the team and transfer practices to clients and HR partners.


  • Perform special assignments and support or lead project teams in which expertise can be leveraged.


Qualifications

Master's Degree in Organization Development, Adult Learning, Human Resources Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline required. Three or more years of relevant professional level experience (e.g., leadership development, program design and management, or high impact organizational effectiveness consulting experience) required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Working knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles, including e-learning, required. Solid understanding of business concepts and strategic alignment along with a pragmatic approach to achieving results. Excellent written and oral communications, interpersonal relationships, proactive problem solving, decision making, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), along with familiarity using Office 365 digital collaboration tools.
