This position will be located in contractor facilities located in Quantico, VA.
Responsibilities:
Candidates will be supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Divisions in executing cyber engineering, operations, and security support for the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), the United States Marine Corps (USMC), and the United States Special Operations Command USSOCOM).
Candidates for this position will be required to assist in the development of a Cybersecurity Plan outlining the details of incorporating a Cyber Security Service Provider into the customer's cloud environment and performing an assessment using the Risk Management Framework (RMF process. RMF will be used to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO) and to ensure that customer's information systems are in compliance with the Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG).
Candidates will be required to:
Perform independent verification and validation and conduct security risk assessments on system designs and configurations.
Validate and identify security vulnerabilities in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) information assurance (IA) controls.
Report and provide IV&V and risk assessments results and findings to PM and Certifying Authority as required.
Adopt and maintain the security and privacy requirements for the cloud service being provided in accordance with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
Assist in maintaining FedRAMP compliance by having knowledge of all federal laws, directives, policy, including FIPS Standards and NIST publications.
Maintain DoD security standards using RMF and security technical implementation guides (STIGs).
Job Requirements
An active Secret Clearance is required.
Meet DoD 8570 qualifications of IAT Level II.
Must meet the qualification of a Navy and Marine Corps certified validator.
Associate's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, or some related field, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (3 years).
5 years of relevant experience is required.
A background in either of the following: IT Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support.
Must be familiar with and have a working knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk. Management Framework Publications especially NIST SP 800-37, and NIST SP 800-53 and 800-53a.
Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and 800-37, FedRAMP, CC SRG, and other DoD Risk Management policies.
Experience performing Information Assurance (IA) controls analysis, testing, and risk assessments.
Familiarity with the use of vulnerability scanning and assessment tools necessary to identify and document compliance.
Ability to identify and evaluate major applications, infrastructure, enclaves, and Enterprise environments based on accreditation boundaries.
Knowledge of defense-in-depth and other information security and assurance principles and associated supporting technologies.
Ability to lead teams and regularly interact with senior level program personnel.
Capable of providing thoughtful feedback to the SCAR, SCA and other Cyber Security leadership in to identify risks, communicate recommended courses of action, and recommend process improvements.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required.
The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access classified Information, which requires a US citizenship.
