Our products include DNS registry management for .com, .net, .gov, .tv and many others. We operate services that are relied upon every day by the world’s 3 billion Internet users.

The Team:

Verisign’s “ATLAS” platform implementation team utilizes agile practices to develop Verisign’s custom-purposed network services components for powering Internet-scale services and mitigating DDoS attacks against critical Internet infrastructure. As part of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new capabilities for this platform. This represents a leadership opportunity as the team has outgrown the size of a single team, and we are looking to split into independent teams.

The Person:

We’re looking for a proficient C++ software engineer. Successful candidates will have:

Required Skills:

• Advanced experience with C++ software development


• Proven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design)


• Has worked with large-scale distributed systems


• Highly proficient with Linux


• Outstanding problem solving and trouble-shooting skills


• Excellent teammate who enjoys a collaborative team environment

Relevant Experience:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in software development


• Has solid understanding of writing network services in C or C++


• Comfortable with Ethernet protocols and tools like tcpdump

Bonus Skills:

• Hands-on experience with fast-path network technologies like DPDK and Netmap

Education:

• 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience


• Master’s Degree in an engineering subject area is a bonus
