IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences Division is looking for a QA&FS Operator for our Quality Assurance and Food Safety team to be responsible for supporting the Rochester Operation's Quality and Food Safety Assurance Systems. The primary function of this role is to be a "hands on" operator that performs quality assurance functions and assist in compliance with internal and external regulations, protocols and policies.
The responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
Participate in the maintenance of the quality and food safety documentation systems.
Performs production room pre-operational inspections and sanitation verification
Performs verification activities related to weighing and balances
Perform document control activities including, but not limited, issuing master manufacturing records, review and approving batch records and work instructions, ensuring logs and records are appropriately completed and maintained, and filing and maintaining all records as required
Act as a facilitator/coach in areas such as HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, and product quality/safety
Assist with internal audits and programs related to internal audits (Quality, Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Dietary Supplements).
Perform environmental sampling of the facilities following established QA protocols.
Participation on food safety team.
Communication and training of information about the quality and food safety programs and changes to the programs to plant staff.
Assist Quality Assurance Team by being responsive to any problems relative to Quality Assurance functions and by quickly and efficiently alleviating difficulties as necessary.
Participation in team meetings to help outline scheduling and priorities.
Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices for the care, handling and storage of food products; and report any known or observed violations to management. Utilize HACCP philosophy and procedures in everyday work routine.
Involvement in investigations for non-conforming product with Quality and production departments; participate in RCFA as needed.
Support the implementation of Dietary Supplement certification.

Job Requirements
You have AAS/BS degree in a scientific or technical field or HS Diploma with 1-3 years manufacturing experience.
You have experience in a manufacturing facility with some fundamental knowledge of Quality Assurance (preferred)You have good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
You have strong computer skills (required); proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
You have a good work ethic with high work standards.
You have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and plan responsibilities to meet customers' needs.
You have strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to work with a very interactive and self-directed work team.
You have working knowledge of SharePoint (preferred)
You have knowledge of document control systems, managing files and records.
