The Mortgage Banker is primarily responsible for external sales and origination of mortgage loans via on-going outside sales calling efforts to Realtors, Builders and other Real Estate professionals.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of mortgage loan origination experience required; 5 years preferred.
Thorough understanding ofunderwriting criteria and guidelines.
Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Federal and State Regulations dealing with Mortgage and Home Equity lending.
Strong computer skills and competence in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Encompass is a plus.Ability to work independently and analyze financial information
Must have professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as this position will interact with consumers, referrals sources, internal bank employees and business line management.
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. The Mortgage Loan Originator will be subject to the required registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record, may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
