Responsibilities


Sayres is seeking a Senior Ship Acquisition and Lifecycle Manager with Secret Clearance in Washington, DC.


Duties could include but are not limited to the following:



  • Provide executive level acquisition and lifecycle management support for US Navy auxiliary ship/service craft/small boat major acquisition program office in Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).

  • Lead team of analysts through complex shipbuilding procurement and design/build contract evolutions using DOD 5000 processes, as well as manage ship lifecycle management activities including maintenance, engineering and repair/availability management.

  • Apply specific program and/or operational knowledge ACAT 1 level acquisition processes and lead special project initiatives on behalf of govt/military customer across a spectrum of program management and engineering services involving auxiliary ships, special craft and small boats.

  • Interface with wide range of stakeholders throughout Navy and industry including shipyards and commercial vendors.

Requirements:



  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience

  • BS Degree

  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience leading teams in relevant environments

  • Secret Clearance

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Preferred certifications include PMP and DAU/DAWIA training

  • Preferred first-hand experience with USN Service Craft/Auxiliary Ships or Small Boats
