We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Managing Consultant for our Healthcare Analytics Practice (HAP) that will be based in our Tampa, FL office. This senior level position requires a highly motivated problem solver with solid analytical ability, strong organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. It will involve both execution and oversight of engagement work streams that may be either qualitative or quantitative in nature, and responsibilities include management of junior staff, design, and execution of medical record reviews (coding and clinical) and other related analyses, quality control, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of existing client relationships, and industry research.


Responsibilities



  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of all technical and management aspects of engagement requirements in their primary areas of expertise, as well as a thorough understanding of the business and financial principles of one or more industries.

  • Provide industry policy impact knowledge around primary area of expertise.

  • Delegate assignments to staff, instruct and monitor progress, and review work product for completeness and accuracy.

  • Demonstrate consistent, balanced project delegation, supervision, and leadership skills across all areas of an engagement.

  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions.

  • Assist with the development of analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data. 

  • Generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to expert reports.

  • Manage client relationships and communicate results and work product as appropriate.

  • Prioritize assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines.

 


Basic Qualifications



  • A degree (e.g., BS, BBA, MBA, M.A., M.S., etc.) with a focus in healthcare financial management (accounting, finance, economics, information systems, information management);

  • Minimum eight (8+) years of work experience with a focus on healthcare financial management, health care claims auditing and/or healthcare informatics;

  • Coding certification from either AAPC or AHIMA;

  • Experience with the Medicare Risk Adjustment HCC model and risk adjustment coding and compliance;

  • Experience with value-based payment reimbursement;


  • Proven capability with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and a desire to expand those capabilities;


  • Desire and ability to manage processes and other consultants;

  • Commitment to producing high quality analyses and work product and attention to details;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and

  • Desire to work within a team environment.

 


Additional Qualifications



  • Certification in healthcare compliance from either HCCA or AAPC is preferred;

  • Certified in medical auditing; or

  • Keen interest in economic or financial analysis and research.
