Maintain and further develop the inventory control programs in order to meet customer requirements on a timely basis. Responsible for ensuring all disciplines are in place and transactions are executed to assure inventory accuracy of purchased parts, raw materials, and manufactured product within the ERP system
Train and monitor the functional areas within the plant to ensure that all inventory transactions are performed correctly and on a timely basis to improve overall accuracy of the perpetual inventory systems; this includes but is not limited to production and scrap reporting, receipt entry, timely and accurate back-flushing of raw materials.
Responsible for coordinating monthly cycle count schedule and assigning counts to cycle counters.
Supports Materials Manager by coordinating physical inventory including but not limited to; process training, documentation, planning and execution.
Lead investigation and problem-solving activities of inventory variances.
Assist in coordination of engineering/process changes, minimization of obsolete materials and risk inventory.
Assist in launch and balance out activities as required.
Continuous improvement suggestions and opportunities should be brought to the attention of upper management.
Ensure compliance to all BOS/SOX and internal plant procedures.
Responsible for the supervision of Cycle Counters and other personnel as directed by plant management.
BOM Analyst responsibilities if combined role.
Qualifications - External
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
APICS certification preferred;
Detailed understanding and experience working with MRP systems;
Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel;
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment;
Ability to process time sensitive information and orders and meet deadlines;
Ability to accurately communicate to co-workers and management;
Accurate Document Control;
Previous experience in Supply Chain and inventory control; experience in repetitive, just-in-time manufacturing, beneficial;
Effective oral and written communication skills
