Analyze and interpret blueprint, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
Plan machine set ups, position work piece and operate various CNC machines through production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances.
Deburr parts as needed.
Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications
Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustment to machine to ensure parts are formed to designated tolerances.
Complete inspection reports as required and repair any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally.
Communicate with managers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.
Act as subject matter expert and train co-workers as requested
Document outstanding issues either written or verbally to ensure smooth transition between shift
Actively participate in continuous improvement of our products and processes to better serve our customers and improve the overall profitability of Jetstream
Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and advise Production Supervisor of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved.
Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift (Hours: 3:30pm – 2:00am, Monday through Thursday)
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience operating CNC Mazak Integrex machines. Experience must be on a Mazak Interex i-100ST or i-200ST or i-300ST or i-400ST
5-axis experience strongly preferred
Mazak Smooth Control experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret Blueprints/Technical Drawing
Ability to perform various machining operation in accordance with part specifications.
