We are looking for an experienced technical product manager to help define the high-level vision and business rules from the end to end customer experience including digital acquisition and engagement to help support the growth and acceleration to building and offering these products and services.
This position will work closely with our Cross-Product Platform Business Services engineering team to define reusable components and capabilities that can be leveraged throughout all Equinix products and services.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with technology teams to provide clear direction on Agile product backlog, epic and user story requirements, and feature delivery
Define and write detailed business service functionality within Cross Product platform product requirements through personas and use case development
Understands core product needs and cross-functional business-level services, can clearly define and groom product backlog items in terms of product, business, and customer/partner value, and is able to articulate the vision and goal for prioritizing those features
Prioritize competing requirements including features, bugs, enabler work, and tech debt; working regularly with the scrum team to refine and add detail where needed
Works with core product managers, business functional teams and platform engineering team to define deliverables for any given release within the product development lifecycle
Drafts acceptance criteria and work with the team to refine and elaborate; Accepts user stories as done based on acceptance criteria and definition of done
Lead definition of allowable configurations, writes test cases and executes UAT
Identifies improvements to existing product processes; develops a strong understanding of processes and technology
Completes ad-hoc assignments that assist in the development of platform strategy and roadmap
Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders and communications effectively; Is able to manage stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions
Develop relationships with stakeholders and understand their roadmap in order to advocate and influence our own platform roadmap
Establish, communicate and monitor usage, activity and adoption metrics for platform initiatives and delivered capabilities
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of product management experience for technical products, SaaS-delivered cloud infrastructure, and services highly preferred
5+ years of hands-on product management experience throughout the entire product life cycle including inbound and outbound functions – ideation, evaluation, prioritization, development, go-to-market, launch, and growth within a software company
Deep understanding and experience in microservices and APIs for functionality and usability
Deep understanding of technology stack, architecture, and general software best practices
Knowledgeable and experienced in SaaS, IaaS, PaaS products and services
Operationally hands-on and experienced at leading a SCRUM team of UI/UX and engineers as a product owner for a technical product and features
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, information systems or related field of study required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels including executives, customers, managers, and subject matter experts
Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can track multiple, complex projects simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in software engineering or related field of study highly preferred
Experience with developing software services based digital platform in an enterprise environment
Experience in product management of a SaaS and or cloud infrastructure service
