Job Description Summary

Performs a variety of specialized clerical, administrative or operational support duties pertaining to ACH, including but not limited to; assisting the Wire Team as back-ups; posting all electronic deposits, debits and paper payrolls accurately while ensuring deadlines and member’s expectations are met. Job could include extended hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loads incoming ACH files and corrects errors to ensure all items are properly prepared for posting.

• Runs the ACH credit and debit process to electronically post to member’s accounts, retrieves and processes rejected items and posts pending items.

• Generates a variety of reports; updates spreadsheets with daily times and totals.

• Retrieves paper payroll listings and inputs data to process distributions; downloads and processes debit and credit files from businesses.

• Retrieves and processes Business Online Banking files.

• Creates ACH file for Dealer Incentives.

• Enters, processes and maintains requests for pre-authorizations, member distributions, stop payments, reclamations, affidavits, research requests and ACH return items.

• Retrieves and processes wires for consumer and business members, which include domestic and international wires and ensuring compliance across all systems used.

• Operates computers, scanners, copiers, optical imaging, mail and other related standard office and processing equipment.

• Completes all required regulatory and compliance training and maintains required knowledge of Credit Union products and services.

• Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Education Requirements

High School or GED

Experience Requirement

2 Years Financial industry experience - Required

1 Year- Automated operations experience - Required

ACH experience - Preferred

• Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.

•  Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.

•  Resolve problems utilizing knowledge and experience.

•  Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.

•  Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.

•  Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.

•  Understand and follow written and oral instructions.

•  Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively.
