Our Operations function oversees the day-to-day functions of our managed hotel portfolio, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional hospitality experience and that we remain a leader in the hospitality industry.
What will I be doing?
The Vice President, Entertainment, will direct and coordinate the design, implementation (and marketing) of entertainment, leisure activities, recreational guest programs, and the operation of related entertainment services. In this role, you will develop and drive the overall strategy by defining innovative ways and operating models to help generate revenue streams and identify operational efficiency as we deliver an outstanding Guest and Member experience.
You will strategically support the operations and commercial success of Hilton's portfolio, with a focus on the growing All-Inclusive category, collaborating closely with other functions to identify strategic issues and priorities to support the region's commercial agenda.
More specifically, you will:
Support the Ops Americas regional team in leading the strategic direction of Hilton's entertainment activities in the Americas, with a specific focus on the All-Inclusive category.
Oversee plans, develop, and implement long and short-term strategies and goals for the region's entertainment function.
Peripherally, you may be asked to provide support and consultation in other areas and regions within the Americas on an ad hoc basis.
Build, develop and maintain excellent relationships with senior leadership across the organization.
Serve as a highly visible, participatory, and credible leader who proactively and consistently engages with enterprise and property leaders and hotel Team Members; communicate/present entertainment topics and initiatives.
Represent the company's interests to all third-party and strategic partners.
Develop and maintain close relationships with hotel management to help drive service and training at each location, attending property visits, etc.
Setting Strategy
Develop Hilton's entertainment identity & positioning, setting our short- and long-term strategies and plans to deliver sustained above-market revenue performance.
Develop relationships with entertainment suppliers and vendors.
Maintain a regular cadence for communicating strategy and performance, including future risk and opportunity to key Hilton leadership.
Lead planning and performance review process to manage and drive accountability for departmental action plans.
Participate in the development and communication of regional entertainment key strategic priorities and implement audit and evaluation measures.
Work closely with the Operations Americas regional team leaders to set revenue and service goals.
Source and create entertainment business resources & tools to provide operational and commercial guidance to hotels.
Direct the pre-opening procedures and coordinate all critical path activities for new openings and transitions.
Work closely with Hotel Openings Directors and Commercial Leads to provide pre-opening support, including but not limited to the roll-out of entertainment concepts/ standards, adherence to the opening critical path, and implementation of the launch plan.
Ensure measurable, meaningful metrics are developed for the programs and that they align with the overall company metrics.
Identify ongoing opportunities and needs; handle projects, present findings to key partners, and make informed recommendations for action.
Handle marketing budget for the entertainment portfolio.
Participate in strategy planning; identify target consumer/audience; define needs; analyze consumer trends and market data. And identify brand growth opportunities within the entertainment and recreation sector.
Build, develop and maintain a forward-looking view of performance and establish a process for understanding and communicating future risk and opportunity.
Actively support the discovery, requirements-gathering, and partner/solution analysis phases for new business and operational entertainment and recreation initiatives.
Execute for Results
Implement partnership agreements and provide growing value to our customers, partners, and the overall organization.
Work with properties on the ongoing review and refresh entertainment and recreation offerings, including overall concept definitions, innovative and localized recreation programs in line with brand standards, market relevance, and current trends.
Work with the hotel leadership teams to develop and supervise the entertainment budget, including operational targets and capital expenditure recommendations, as applicable.
Support hotel openings and conversions, collaborating closely with Hilton's commercial functions to maximize performance impact.
Prepare operating standards including nightlife, kids & teens club, fitness, and day entertainment offering.
What are we looking for?

Strong experience in All-Inclusive or large-scale resorts, preferably in Mexico, the Caribbean

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Five (5+) years of leadership experience in Entertainment/Recreation within the hospitality industry
Bilingual in Spanish & English, with strong communication skills
Consistent track record in crafting and executing strategic entertainment and recreation campaigns and initiatives that resonate across touchpoints
Travel as required, up to 40% of the time
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Seven (7+) years of experience in senior management roles in Entertainment, Recreation, and Lifestyle
Two (2) years of experience at an All-Inclusive or large-scale resort in CALA
Previous Entertainment multi-location oversight or regional role
Luxury hospitality background and/or expertise in the entertainment sector, with broad experience in media, live events
Strong understanding of digital and social media marketing
