Responsibilities

The Relationship Manager in the Commercial Lending Department is responsible for attracting new clients & identifying potential prospects within established portfolio in order to meet business development goals; manage corporate loan portfolio, depository accounts, and customers' financial needs including related depository relationships; negotiate deals through meetings and site visitations, generate revenues from new and existing clients through account additions and other services, and cross sells other products which may be suitable to their needs. This position manages loan packages through the process of application, underwriting, credit approval, and closings, provides preliminary credit and financial risk analyses and addresses management issues related to loans/deals. Additionally, this position obtains information for closing process and performs loan closings, maintains credit approvals based upon extensions, renewals, and increases/advances, performs customer service functions, and works with clients in person, by telephone and email, performs annual review for existing lines of credit by gathering updated financial information from the borrower and guarantor of the facility. Must comply with all related CIP and BSA/AML requirements; adheres to Bank policies, procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field of study such as Accounting or Finance with three (3) years of banking related experience in product sales and lending with an established portfolio of banking relationships; or


• Associate's Degree with an established portfolio of banking relationships and a minimum of six (6) years of banking experience in products sales and lending, specifically related to attracting and servicing customers; or possess the equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Must be able to travel and visit prospected new clients within a designated area in order to increase depository and loan production/sales goals.


• Must be knowledgeable of internal bank operations (wire transfers, debits/credits and loan payments) and bank products to cross sell.


• Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and oriented towards providing excellent customer service.


• Must have leadership abilities to lead projects and manage people indirectly; ability to lead and drive initiatives; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.


• Computer knowledge in MS Office Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).


• Knowledge of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations and on the completion of Know Your Customer (KYC) is required.
