Job Description:

Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for “ Devops  Engineer” who could join in our team of IT professionals in our projects in Sunnyvale, CA. Role: Devops

Work location: Sunnyvale, CA/ Austin, TX

Experience required:  5-10 yrs

Skills required:  Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Jenkins, Java, , Bash

Must have skills:

• Experience in  Java 8 programming


• Expert knowledge of Ansible including writing playbooks.


• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker. 


• Knowledge of scripting languages: Bash, Python, or Go.


• Seasoned in Jenkins: Write pipeline as code and Jenkinsfiles. Knowledge of Jenkins plugins. Setup automation workflows on multi-node Master/Slave clusters.


• Proficient in using the Unix command line and system administration.


• In depth knowledge of GIT.


• Understand the Maven project object model.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with operations and development teams.

 

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of orchestrators such as Spinnaker or Helm.


• Comfortable working with large-scale server deployments.


• Used Gradle to build server and front-end applications.


• Exposure to SQL and NoSQL database deployment techniques in CI/CD context.


• Knowledge of additional programming languages and platforms: Java, Scala, Ruby, JavaScript.


• Understanding the security and compliance aspects of CI/CD.


• Strong ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies in a short time.


• Nice to have: Netscalar, Nginx, Sonar, and Splunk.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be in charge of the continuous integration and delivery pipeline.


• Foster self service and collaboration among the engineering team members.


• Improve automation for build, deployment and secret management.


• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure, and process enhancements.
