The Horticultural Service and Installation Technician is responsible for delivering and maintaining interior plants and exterior container displays assigned to their care. On a structured schedule and within an allotted time frame, the technician maintains interior foliage plants using accepted horticultural techniques. Additional duties may include installation of new plants and replacement plants to our clients. Seasonal duties involve the fabrication and installation of holiday décor in October-January. To thrive in this position, you must have a valid drivers' license, a high school diploma and 1-2 years of experience as a Horticultural Service Technician or related field preferred.

Water and fertilize all plants as necessary
Keep all plants cleaned, trimmed and oriented to proper light
Remove any damaged or unsightly foliage
Remove debris from planters and maintain planters in a neat and orderly manner
Prevent damage to surrounding floors, walls and furniture from water and/or moisture
Keep all plants free from disease and insects
Maintain staging and top dressing for proper presentation
Delivery using box van, unloading and placement of material
Timely requests for replacement plants and full knowledge of replacement budgets
Timely communication to supervisor regarding account problems or concerns
Friendly, professional communication with client contact
Proper maintenance and safe use of company tools, equipment and vehicles
Keep accurate records of arrival and departure time for each site
Must be able to professionally communicate with clients and have a neat and clean appearance

High school diploma/GED
Driver's License with clear record and personal vehicle required
Landscape Industry Certified Interior Technician (CLT-I) preferred
Great customer service skills
To be well organized
To be able to work independently
To pay attention to detail
Good communication and people skills
Horticultural coursework and/or background
Must be able to lift and carry 10 lb. water buckets, bags of soil and plants
Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Must be able to climb ladders and have good dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to use scissors, pruners, hand saws, hoses and other small tools. Must be able to apply leaf cleaners and insecticides using hand-held pump sprayers.
This is strenuous work requiring good vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching and lifting.
Must be able to pass background check
