This position will report to the Senior Manager of Capital Market reverse mortgage originations and will incorporate a wide range of responsibilities. This role will manage and analyze reverse mortgage originations from the Company's four (4) production channels, make pricing recommendations and support the associated hedge and trading activities. Additionally, this position will support performance analytics related to competitiveness, volume, margin optimization, etc to increase profitability. It is important to note that experience in the reverse mortgage industry is not required.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and functions of this role include:
Communicate with Broker/ Dealers to aggregate competitor pricing information and market intelligence
Aggregate market data into competitor heat maps of pricing and margins
Produce competitor and market-based pricing rate sheets for corresponding channels
Run daily pricing model and cash flow projections to produce pricing rate sheets for all other origination channels
Support maintenance of pricing model and necessary updates
Re-bid previously locked loans during underwriting as needed
Communicate with origination sales team/ operations on pricing related matters
Communicate with accounting and respond to pricing, volume, margin and profitability questions
Produce final pricing files for accounting
Respond to questions from Risk Management team related to origination, pricing and trading activities
Manage bid process including production of bid tapes for trading activities
Support projection of pipeline position to identify forward sale need and hedge position
Support pricing and valuation of tail pools
Support updates to and build-out of pricing engine in database
Analyze daily origination volume and identify emerging trends or other negative movements
Develop reporting suite to track metrics by channel and product type
Make pricing recommendations based on identified trends to drive incremental growth or mitigate risk exposure
Provide analytics and insight for both monthly and quarterly presentations to executive management team
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
Bachelors degree required; Prefer focus in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Capital Markets, mortgage originations or MSR valuation strongly preferred
Knowledge of mortgages and/or capital markets preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to develop cross-functional relationships across an organization
Strong teamwork skills
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Ability to interface confidently with internal/external parties
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
Training / Licensing Requirements:
Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
