Job Summary
The Line Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Moulder and DET machines while maintaining a consistent flow of product maximizing and optimizing feed rates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up Moulder and DET according to schedule and customer profiles.
Selects and installs cutting heads on machine according to profile and replaces as needed.
Conducts on the job training for new hires and cross training.
Oversees setup and operation of the moulder to groove and profile blank stock per customer specifications.
Oversees setup and operation of the DET to groove and profile blank stock per customer specifications.
Obtains a first article approval from quality assurance prior to a production run.
Follows up on recording of board dimensions on daily inspection report every 15 minutes using calipers and prints.
Ensures proper recording of blank stock identification information onto daily report.
Ensures proper adjustments of the moulder and DET as needed.
Monitors the loading of moulder in feed conveyors with correct blank stock.
Assists and monitors the initial QC (quality control) of blank stock and removal of culls prior to in-feed.
Responsible for quality control of all products produced on the Moulder and DET.
Responsible for monitoring the changing of inserts and blades on the heads.
Tracks defective blanks to determine cull rate.
Assists in completing required production reports per shift.
Follows all safety and lockout tagout procedures when operating machinery.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent or at least 1 year of manufacturing/production experience.
Previous machine operator experience preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
