Job Description:

The Senior Analyst, System Development & Support is a key member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders for the delivery of business system design and development used to enable and support critical business functions and processes across the enterprise. This position requires expertise in areas of business operations, business processes, application technologies, critical business data, and key operational reporting and analytics across the key business functions of the organization. Responsibilities include; data architecture, integration architecture, solution development, service support, application security and IT compliance. Typical activities may include; assessing, designing, implementing and managing software programs, testing and evaluating new programs, modification of existing programs, writing/configuring and implementing efficient code, determining operational practicality, developing quality assurance procedures, deploying software tools, maintaining and upgrading existing systems, training end-users, working closely with other analysts, project leaders and managers. Support production systems including analyzing and resolving production problems and end user service requests as appropriate. Provide a high-level of customer/client service across the organization with a primary focus on systems availability, performance, reliability, security, and established service level metrics.

As a critical member of the Business Systems & Integration Services team, this role must partner with business leadership to understand business direction and translate to information technology needs; work with business stakeholders to define project scope and requirements; participate in defining, prioritizing, organizing initiatives; and be accountable for solution delivery. Provide technical and solution architecture leadership during end-to-end life-cycle solution development to ensure quality of delivery and adherence to best practices. Support, maintain, and deliver solutions and services within a large, complex applications ecosystem. Participate in project prioritization and planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology as it relates to the organization's competitive position. Collaborates with the IT leadership team to define the long-term organization-wide application capabilities needed and implements the overall strategy and roadmap to ensure optimal technology operations and return on investment.

The Senior Analyst, System Development & Support reports directly to the Manager, Solution Development & Integration or Project Leader, System Design and Development and must be highly flexible, results-oriented with the ability to provide insight and support on complex business and technical issues. As a technical specialist, this role is responsible to proactively participate in multiple technology initiatives.

System Support* Monitor and continue to improve upon customer/client satisfaction and service delivery management (24/6 support).* Participate in the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application eco-system that supports the company's operations and business functions. * Oversee root cause analysis process for all related incidents.* Oversee problem tracking, RCA templates, post-mortems, and action item follow-up, monthly metrics.* Defines, develops and manages a comprehensive and integrated ITSM landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines and related toolsets.* Collaborates with the CISO to ensure all team members embrace and apply the appropriate security strategies.* Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in the achievement of business goals.* Participate in the full life cycle of design, development, operation and support of IT systems.* Participate in the maturity of solutions development and service delivery models to improve efficiency, deliver new innovations and increase collaboration with other business areas (e.g., through Agile and DevOps).* Participates in the adoption of (and commitment towards) service improvements.* Participates in the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics as appropriate.Solutions Delivery & Project Management* Partner with the program management office to effectively deliver best in class technology capabilities.* Maintain and execute methodologies and processes that ensure the most effective delivery of new solutions that meet time, cost and quality expectations. This includes development methods, estimating techniques, resource utilization processes, project controls and vendor selection, and project management approaches.* Continuously improve and evolve solution development processes to make the best use of resources.* Execution of the standardized 7 phase project life-cycle methodology: Initiation, Project Preparation & Planning, Blueprint, Realization, Final Preparation, Go Live and Support, Project Closure.* Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.* Manage and communicate a clear vision of each project's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance for team members.* Ensure proper use of methodology, tools and procedures.* Ensure proper governance is in place to best meet project objectives.* Balance the trade-off of the triple- constraint (time, resources and scope) to realize the expected business value.* Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget resources and timeline.* Participate in the financial aspects of the project: budgeting of resources and estimate to actual variance.* Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.* Escalate issues early about the project to stakeholders, steering committees and executive leaders.* Determine what constitutes successful closure for all projects. Gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained.* Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases; analyze lessons learned and share with the organization's project management community.* Participate in the development of project management best practices.Cybersecurity, Governance, Risk Management & Compliance* Support a comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of relevant data. * Support the implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery capability. * Support and enforce policies, processes, standards and methodologies, including those for architecture, cybersecurity, disaster recovery and service provision.* Support and implement comprehensive approaches to cybersecurity and risk management.* Support and implement an ITIL/ISO/NIST based service management framework.* Support the development and implementation of effective and reasonable policies and practices to secure protected and sensitive data and ensure information security and compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretation.* Work with Internal Audit and outside consultants as appropriate on required assessments and audits.* Participate in development of a strategy for cohesively dealing with audits, compliance checks and external assessment processes for internal / external auditors, PCI, SOX, HIPAA and other applicable standards.* Support annual and long-range cybersecurity and compliance goals, define cybersecurity strategies, metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services; and create maturity models and a roadmap for continual program improvements.* Review IT policies and procedures yearly to ensure they are up to date and published.* Supports periodic reviews by internal audit, compliance teams and other risk-related functions as required.Leadership* Develop the project vision, communicate the plan, and hold teams accountable.* Operate in a direct, transparent and data-driven fashion, be an effective communicator and forge strong day-to-day working relationships.* Build strong technology vendor partnerships, and able to manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure the best performance and financial return.* Establish program and project goals and performance objectives that deliver best-in-class services and solutions to the organization. * Establish and track meaningful program and project performance measurements. * Analyze reports, measurements and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.* Develop a LEAN culture to drive continuous improvement.* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the department.Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.Experiences: * 4+ years total experience in Information Technology, including minimum 3 years in developing solutions in complex technology environments. * 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution industries. * 2+ years of experience in systems development.Skills: * Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills* Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units* Ability to build consensus, making decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives. * Strong sense of self, ethics and effort, as well as the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals.* Expertise in establishing and improving DevOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).* Extensive hands-on experience in application programming, package software configuration, and complex system integration development.* Extensive hands-on experience in system integration of complex application systems. (e.g. custom solutions, package solutions, Cloud, SaaS, and PaaS)
