Responsibilities

Location: CSC Holdings, LLC, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714

Duties: Develop and maintain quality assurance guideline procedures for all testing activities. Develop test scripts for business intelligence tools, such as MicroStrategy and Tableau. Provide in-depth analysis of requirement documents to develop comprehensive test cases. Work with other testers, developers and users in the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, plans and scripts to assure coverage of customer requirements. Provide technical guidance to other staff members to assist them in effectively achieving both departmental and project objectives. Provide timely delivery of assigned projects using project management life cycle methodologies / tools and communication of project test status to Management and customers. Stay apprised with the latest state-of-the-art testing methodologies and automated tool suites as they pertain to existing and planned projects. Assist in the development and maintenance of QA test-oriented metric reporting systems. Assist Project Management personnel in the development and performance of Functional Technical Reviews (FTRs) or Walk-Throughs.

Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field plus 3 plus years of QA / test experience, including system and performance testing. Must have at least 3 years of experience with the following: planning and design software project testing strategies, plans and scripts; understanding software applications and writing independent test cases, based on technical requirements; applying knowledge of manual and automated software testing methods for functionality, regression, and load / stress, and configuration management concepts; using test tools, such as HP LoadRunner, JIRA and Business Planning and configuration tools; using languages and systems to run independent validation for data quality testing, including SQL, Java, RDBMS (Netezza and Redshift), MicroStrategy, or Tableau; and working within the Software Development Life Cycle and applying Agile software development principles.
