Job Description:

THE ROLE
The Associate Energy Training Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technical Trainers while they conduct a verity of product related courses.
The Associate Manager will partner with the Instructional Design team to help bridge the Quality Team, Engineering and Operations Project Managers requests; with a common goal of aligning courses and learning pathways with the companies and team goals.
Implementation of new training curriculum into operations and ensure successful attendance and completions are properly tracked. A wide degree of creativity, self-motivation, discretion and independent judgment is expected and required. High energy and passion for providing tools for success are a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Actively promote a culture of safety and quality in accordance with Tesla and industry standards.* Represent the Training Organization to Product Business Leaders.* Partner with Instructional Design team to define program outcomes* Develop core concepts and objectives of instructor led courses to ensure consistency and all Technical Training throughout the program* Oversee the implementation of new and existing course content.* Utilize product and regionally specific reporting to improve training effectiveness* Work with Operations Leadership and Training Coordination to define training schedule and throughput in your region.* Research, strategize and adapt instructional content or learning solutions for a variety of learning styles with varying skill levels* Stay current on industry trends and emerging functional expertise theories and tools* Prioritize training content focused on departments biggest needs for quality and throughput improvement.* Oversee execution of responsibilities within ADDIE process/workflow* Ensure collaborative feedback with the Analysis, Design and Development Teams.* Manage the relationship and feedback loop with the Quality, Training, and Engineering Teams* Support project and initiative prioritization* Support creation and evaluation of departmental KPIs* Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with Installation, Quality, Service and Safety teams* Assess the needs for organizational headcount and conduct interviews for potential candidates.* Evaluate and provide business justification for team staffing* Support recruitment and hiring efforts* Monitor and control team's expenses and budget* Set and communicate team goals* Coach employees to increase role and career progression competencies* Guide employees to develop role competencies and understand career progression* Conduct performance evaluations* Ensure tools and processes are accessible for employees to execute necessary duties
REQUIREMENTS
* College or technical degree or equivalent experience required* 3-4 years of experience in the training field required* Minimum of 2 years of people management experience is required* Must be able to understand complex information and communicate said information to people with diverse professional backgrounds.* Ability to deal with ambiguity, define and drive strategy, and attention to details.* Demonstrated success in complex problem solving* Professional composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills* High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related presentation products is required* Passionate and empathetic about working with other teams and partners to solve challenges* Ability to execute on many projects and tasks in parallel, across teams, in a short timeframe, with ability to pivot rapidly* Excellent written and communication skills and oral fluency in English* A powerful sense of urgency and drive to get things done* Able to travel as the role requires.* Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
