This role is required to enable our in house engineers to work on GCP migration projects. This specific contractor(s) is intended to "keep the lights on" while our internal subject experts concentrate on GCP migration.
Forge builds tools for developers building the back end services. Our responsibilities include calculating the required number of compute and network resources for large distributed systems. CRUD operations on compute resources inventory meta-data, and continuing development on our fully autonomous monitoring platform.
Requirements:
At least a 12 month engagement with Demonware.
Interested in building highly available, high quality but small tools to solve giant problems. Many of these are back end API's, some are full stack web applications.
Interested in improving the interaction between complex mechanical systems and the people that operate them.
Excellent at understanding the problems are diverse customers are solving across all technical domains at Demonware.
Excellent python skills
Golang is nice to have.
Experience with "devops" style workflows. Note: a "devops" engineer with a focus on build and deploy pipelines would not be appropriate for this role. The applications being deployed using the pipeline should be the focus, not the pipeline itself.
MUST have high levels of linux proficiency.

Experience with developing/designing/improving large scale distributed monitoring services
Able to solve discrete problems with relative autonomy. The scope runs from requirements gathering to production using small services that glue together massive highly available systems.
Data analytics pipeline experience, especially in the field of capacity planning.
Experience with "Business Process Automation" in a highly technical environment.
