About the Job

We are looking for someone who:

- is passionate about capacity and load testing large scale digital transactions/applications

- is curious about how systems work, what causes system issues under load, and driving solutions

- has demonstrated collaboration with leaders (Directors and AVPs)

- can influence others without authority to work towards a common goal

This position is for an engineering leader who will relentlessly push the capacity envelope for our site.  AT&T’s digital transactions/day is on a steady upward trend.  This role will help ensure the consumer commerce websites scale accordingly and serve the best experience for AT&T’s customers.  This is a high visibility position with leaders supporting iPhone launches.

Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View

Responsibilities include:

-    Orchestrating and scheduling enterprise load tests by partnering with application and operations teams within the Digital organization and outside of the Digital organization

-    Define test plans, test objectives, test metrics, rolling 3-month sequence of tests

-    Design test scripts

-    Working with our external partner, Akamai, to record test scripts and execute the load test event

-    Driving analysis and remediation of issues discovered in tests

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

-      At least 7-8 of years of experience delivering technology solutions

-    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or similar

-    Experienced with Akamai Cloud test

-    Testing with multi-data center, multi-cluster architectures for resiliency

-    A solid understanding of microservice architectures, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, Cassandra and gateways

-    Programming languages such us Python or any equivalent

-    Experienced with Splunk, Dynatrace, and ELK

-    Analytical problem solving

-    Cloud Agnostic Infrastructure Solutions expertise – Multi Cloud Architecture (Azure and AWS)

-    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group leadership and presentations

-    Experienced with IOS native app, web based, and enterprise systems architectures and how to test appropriately

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-    MS or MBA

-    5-7+ years of IT consulting experience in technical, client facing projects
