Cloudera is looking for a dynamic and creative senior manager for employee giving and volunteering.
This individual will develop the strategy, set goals, and manage the day-to-day operations of Cloudera's local Cloudera Cares Committees which engage 1900 employees in charitable activities across more than 30 offices in the United States and around the globe. This senior manager will execute and grow participation in both Cloudera's employee matching gift and volunteerism programs, and will design and coordinate global volunteering events.
The senior manager will also develop and manage relationships with new and existing external philanthropic partners and will help develop and execute the communications strategy for Cloudera's volunteering and giving programs.
Responsibilities:
Manage the strategy, implementation, and execution of Cloudera employee matching program
Manage the Cloudera Cares speakers series, including recruiting leaders of nonprofits as speakers, promoting the program internally and externally, and refining the strategy based on results
Envision, plan and execute Cloudera Global Days of Service where Clouderans volunteer time to nonprofits in their communities around the world
Manage the strategy and execution of employee volunteerism programs to apply Cloudera's advanced data analytic capabilities to intractable problems
Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, non-profit partners, and recommend best practices to grow employee participation in all giving and volunteer programs
Serve as the primary point of contact for and manage Cloudera Cares Committees globally: identifying local Cloudera Cares Ambassadors, assisting with new member recruitment efforts, new member and leadership training, executive champion recruitment, volunteerism, and other professional development needs as they arise.
Develop and implement an annual strategy, calendar, and budget for matching gifts and volunteering: Monitor activities, project organization, timeline, resources, and communications to ensure desired outcomes are achieved
Serve as the main point of contact for employees related to matching gifts and volunteering
Set clear goals and track data on matching gifts and volunteer projects to measure the impact of our programs
Partner effectively with Cloudera functions and business units to implement successful programs
Requirements
4-6 years' experience in an employee engagement role, or other relationship management setting
Demonstrated success crafting employee engagement strategies in partnership with senior leadership and across functions and geographies
Ability to understand (and a strong interest in) both data analytics and machine learning and the social issues those technologies can address
Strong understanding of effective practices in engaging employees in philanthropic initiatives
Track record of managing projects and details successfully
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Strong writing and research skills
Ability to interact thoughtfully and effectively with internal and external stakeholders at a variety of seniority levels
