Our precast company is a leading producer of architectural and structural wall panels, and the nation's largest producer of precast concrete parking structures. We've provided structure and enclosure systems, components, and accessories for virtually every kind of project including corporate, cultural, government, educational, institutional, multi-unit residential buildings, sports stadiums and arenas, retail, industrial, correctional facilities, and warehouse structures. We are currently searching for a CAD Drafter, who is passionate about structural or architectural drafting, and has the desire to learn and develop into an Architectural Designer role.


The CAD Drafter, under the direction of the Manager of Drafting Services, in Denver, PA, is responsible for the continued learning of proper preparation of all drawings, details and information as necessary for the efficient and cost effective fabrication and erection of HCG projects.


Qualifications:



  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in CAD or a related discipline required. 

  • Two (2) years minimum in structural, architectural or applicable precast drafting, preferred

  • Proficient in CAD/3-D modeling software - Tekla, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.

  • Must demonstrate a competency in geometry and trigonometry

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Essential Job Functions:



  • Become familiar with the contract drawings, specifications and bid documents of the assigned project or projects taking particular note of exceptions to drawings and specifications in our contract.

  • Assist Project Team in developing all necessary erection, layout, sections and details using company standards and department policies.

  • Identify and investigate errors or omissions on contract drawings and communicate with team members and, as specifically requested, external contacts.

  • Develop and utilize his/her knowledge of fabrication and shop requirements to produce various piece, hardware and reinforcing drawings. Double check work for accuracy and completeness.

  • Communicate with other Team Members to resolve problems of a drafting or conceptual nature as they arise during development of drawings.

  • Develop the material listings of production, site and erection hardware required to produce and erect a project.

  • Assist production as needed to resolve problems on drawings released to production.

  • Visit jobsite or plant to review methods of erection and production for aiding in the use of economical and preferred details.

  • Be knowledgeable of and proficient at use of a CADD workstation so as to expedite the drawing process.
