Hardware Device Specialist at Cognizant in Seattle, Washington

Job Description:

Note: The candidate should be ready to work onsite from day one (no remote).

We are looking for someone who can manage inventory of client devices and have blackbox QA experience. Should be well versed with Apple products. You will not be involved in setting up devices, so we are not looking for hardware support.

Description:


  • As a member of the Device Management team, you will work closely with all teams across the organization to distribute products, parts, tools, and supplies for teams around the world. You will play an integral part in the product development process, ensuring that our teams are prepared with the information and hardware they need to be successful.

  • As a member of the device management team, you will responsible for securely receiving, storing and distributing development hardware to engineering teams. You will provide logistical shipping support to our teams around the world, manage a large inventory of development hardware, conduct regular lab audits, provide technical support to engineering labs and engineers, as well as conduct some in-vehicle quality assurance testing.

  • Experience working with spreadsheets and databases.

  • Be agile, demonstrate ability to adapt and think on your feet.

  • Familiarity with Apple products and basic troubleshooting

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Can execute on deliverables with little to no mentorship.

  • Ability to lift and transport inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must have, or be willing to get, a valid California Driver’s license (for California role) or a valid Washington State Driver’s License (for Washington role)

  • Quality Assurance background a plus
