Forward Air is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to organize and present training to foster growth and improvement. The qualified candidate will plan and deliver instructional webinars, content development and conduct live and/or online workshops. Previous experience of learning & development within the transportation industry is a plus. This position reports directly to the Director, People Engagement.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Plan and deliver live and virtual learning & development sessions
Identify training needs by evaluating strengths, weaknesses, and skills gaps
Develop the production of handouts, instructional materials, job aids, and manuals
Work closely with Director, Learning & Development to identify and anticipate learning needs of the front-line and senior level leaders
Develop measures, benchmarks, or scorecards to monitor the effectiveness of learning and development efforts; apply these measures to drive progress in talent management and retention
Consistently assess and measure learning and development programs to ensure they are relevant to the needs of the changing business
Leverage instructional techniques and formats such as, role playing, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures especially in leadership development
Develop and implement a diversity and inclusion plan that emphasizes alignment with key organization goals
Represent the organization within the external community to advance inclusion and diversity initiatives
In collaboration with the Director, Employee Engagement and Head of D&I, LD Partner, sponsor the development of early career high-potential diverse talent and oversee the curriculum supporting inclusion and diversity education
Assist in creating positive corporate learning environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
BS/BA in business, education, computer science or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated experience facilitating a variety of topics for all levels of organization
Must possess demonstrated leadership ability
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the enterprise
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Have a Driver's License and credit card for travel purposes and expenses (Travel expenses are 100% reimbursed per company policy)
