The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As the Senior Network Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Managing the 3M network security services through working with security firewall vendors to design and implement a redundant and robust security stack for the corporate edge and cloud environment


• Managing the product and services life cycle including financial planning, purchasing, and maintenance planning


• Work with the other team members to document detail process procedure to manage the network security stack


• Operate in a rapidly evolving environment, adapt quickly to new information, re-prioritize as needed


• Forward thinking and forward planning of the 3M network security services to prevent future attacks

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Associate’s/Two Year Technical degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Ten (10) years of data networking experience in a private, public, government, or military environment


• Five (5) years of data center and cloud security solutions (firewalls, IPS, malware)


• Experienced with deploying network security solutions in a global network environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE), Checkpoint Certified Security Professional (CCSP) or International Systems Security Certification Consortium Certified Cloud Security Professional (ISC2 CCSP)


• Experience resolving complex security incidents


• Experience leading and growing a technical security team


• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Travel: May include up to 2 domestic business trips per year

Relocation: May be authorized   

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
