Job Description:

Dematic Corp. has an immediate need for a Welder 3 in our Salt Lake City, UT manufacturing location. This position will assist with welding procedures and processes in multiple type positions on all Dematic products in a very clean, well-lit, and air-conditioned facility.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Assists with the welding procedures and processes in multiple type positions on all equipment. 


• Provides assistance with processes in welding and fit-up of fabricated parts. 


• Reviews blueprints and sketches to select, prep and complete the lay-out of material.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifies problems as they occur and suggests appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. 


• Seeks advice and guidance on not-routine or problem areas from others. 


• Must be able to ascend and or descend ladders, scaffolding and the like with agility. 


• Performs routine duties with the ability to substantiate repetitive motions of the body. 


• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and or up to 50 pounds frequently. 


• Operates grinders, saw and or torches in the fabrication of company product.

Education:

Typically an Associate's degree in welding or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.  HS diploma or equivalent required.  Specialized skill training/certification may be required.

Knowledge:

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area.

Direction of Others:

Generally, minimum of 2 - 4 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

Key Working Relationships:

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
