Job Description:

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan plays an important role in helping the TA team accomplish our goals in the most efficient way possible!  The TA Coordinator supports the team in a number of ways, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, preboarding / onboarding activities and assists with the annual intern program.  This role works closely with TA Consultants, hiring leaders, candidates and college / university staff as well as various vendor partners.  


  • Schedules candidate interviews, reserves interview space and assists with travel/hotel arrangements for out of town candidates (post-pandemic, of course!) and consults and communicates with candidates, TA Consultants and hiring managers regarding the logistics. 

  • Provides support to the Talent Acquisition team which includes pre-screening, monitoring and coordinating background checks, and managing preboarding and onboarding activities.

  • Assists new hires with questions and where to find the resources they need.

  • Run various reports in applicant tracking system, including various candidate reports, new hire rosters, etc.

  • Researches college / university career fairs and other recruiting events, manages registrations and builds attendance schedule.

  • May greet and escort candidates who are visiting for onsite interviews (post-pandemic of course!).   

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of two years Human Resources related experience is required.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Outlook messaging system.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRIS and e-Recruitment systems is highly preferred.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with all parties involved in the talent acquisition process.

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.

  • Candidates should be extremely customer service oriented, organized, detailed, able to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines, be a self-starter, and be able to assist where and when needed.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced setting.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
