Software Development Engineer in Test III

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Software Development Engineer in Test III, your specific responsibilities will include: understand business process and system requirements to develop relevant automated test scenarios. Develop configurable test scripts with high re-usability that results in a suite of automated test cases or performance test scripts. Apply standard functional test concepts to automated test design. Execute Test suites, regression and smoke, daily on AWS ECS Cluster. Configure and troubleshoot automation logs and report any errors / warnings to ensure accurate results are obtained. Collaborate with DevOps team for maintaining optimum time for script execution. Document test summary report and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. Provide code and automation recommendations that will improve efficiency of automation suite. Develop and maintain Mobile automation framework. Develop test approach to ensure common framework and identify issues for test planning and execution. Work with the engineering leads/developers/business analysts to understand project architecture, business requirements, and nonfunctional requirements to devise a test automation or performance test strategy. Facilitate the gathering and documenting of automation test objectives and requirements for input into automation test plan. Provide weekly status on test progress against work plan, including risks and issues.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related discipline plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in the field of quality assurance or test analysis or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of quality assurance or test analysis.

Special Skill Requirements

1)            Automation framework development experience for Web & Mobile apps leveraging Appium, XCode & Android Studio

2)            Develop and maintain Test scripts across Web and Mobile platform leveraging Python, Robot Framework & Selenium

3)            Experience in backend Database testing using SQL, MY SQL Workbench etc.

4)            Experience working in agile projects and fast paced environments

5)            Knowledge of CI CD tools like Jenkins and including Docker, Linux, ECS cluster and spot instance.

6)            Test automation tools including LoadRunner, Jmeter, TestNG, RIDE or Selenium.

7)            Defining, configuring and executing Test Sets from JIRA.

8)            Software development technologies including Java, Python, ASP.Net/C#, VBScript, XML, or SQL.
