Southwestern Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time Corporate Recruiter to add to our team of professionals.  This position will be 90% recruitment, 10% general HR duties.  Candidates should have a general HR background, with a focus in recruitment.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?


  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.

  • Manage annual recruitment budget to ensure recruitment efforts stay within defined limits.

  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; using social media, job sites, college job boards, billboards, and newsgroups.

  • Responsible for development of all recruiting campaigns, slogans, job postings and marketing materials; attend job fairs as necessary.

  • Responsible for maintaining the applicant tracking system and staying current on updates and communicating changes, as necessary.

  • Train all new managers on the applicant tracking system.

  • Create and update position descriptions for all positions.

  • Screen resumes/candidates to ensure full compliance with position specifications and qualification requirements; make recommendations to hiring managers.

  • Perform in-person and phone interviews with candidates.

  • Negotiate salary with candidates.

  • Supervise the pre-hire process for all candidates post offer.  

  • Verify all professional licensures, as applicable, and start the credentialing process.

  • Maintain consistent communication with all offered candidates during the pre-hire process.

  • Create offer letters and start the onboarding process for all new employees once the pre-hire process has been completed successfully.

  • Arrange and present HR orientation for all new employees.

  • Adhere to the recruiting process to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.  

  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new recruiting and onboarding policies and practices to increase transparency and retention; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.

  • Establish positive relationships with local community colleges and universities to build a pipeline for student interns and possible candidates for employment.

  • Oversee student internship/residency screening, interviewing, acceptance, orientation, onboarding, and credentialing.

  • Process all approved employee transfer requests.

  • Monitor, maintain and update all background checks in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Ensure professional licenses, driver licenses, and auto insurance for applicable staff on file are valid and up to date.

  • Process all Unemployment Insurance claims, appeals, and hearings.

  • Responsible for all personnel audits and inquiries.

  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.

  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?


  • Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) to five (5) years of recruiting experience. 

  • Certification in human resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of applicable federal and state laws/regulations and industry standards.

  • Prior knowledge of applicant tracking software programs required.

  • Ability to travel when necessary.

  • Working knowledge of the healthcare field, preferably behavioral health.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Independent, self-starter, but also a team player.  Able to work effectively with employees at all levels.

  • Ability to maintain a high-level of integrity and trust and exercise sound judgment.

  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
