Do you want to be a key team player with the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Crane Currency is looking to add a Systems Administrator to join the IT team at our Dalton, MA location. This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the IT & production environments across a global environment.
Some responsibilities include:
Support IT and production infrastructure (network, clients and servers) for the organization to be in line with company guidelines, compliance, IT policies, and SOP
Collaborate with engineers, department personnel, and third-party suppliers to ensure business continuity within the organization and in line with all standards and policies
Assist in standardized design of new and existing policies and procedures
Maintain IT and OT Hardware & Software Inventories
Maintain and support technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components
Ensure backup and recovery processes are followed and maintained in line with Media Storage and Backup and Recovery policies
Verify ticket data is accurate & escalate issues, ensure appropriate follow ups
Evaluate existing systems and provide the technical direction to Operational owners
Actively monitor performance & availability of the systems & infrastruture
Maintain and communicate status of systems to IT and production teams
Collaborate/mentor policy and compliance with other groups
Physical environment reviews and semi-annual reviews of various systems
Responsible for multiple sites & strive for continuous improvement
Update Team KPIs regularly
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or International Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS. Bachelor’s degree preferred
HS Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience would be considered in Lieu of a Degree
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing Windows Servers
3 - 4 years’ experience with major brand of Backup software and DR
2 - 3 years minimum support of client software
Ability to follow standard work instructions
Excellent oral and written communication, Fluent in English
Basic level of understanding client computer network and server connectivity
Experience with Microsoft based Client & Server Operating Systems
Experience installing, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Office/O365 applications
Experience in Virtual Machine Environments and Relevant Backup Tools
Experience creating and managing user accounts in Windows AD & MS Exchange is a plus
Experience working within a SOX compliant environment
Windows PowerShell experience is a plus
