Overview

The Memphis Branch of the St Louis Federal Reserve provides payment services to financial institutions by meeting the demand for currency and coin and ensures that the currency circulated within our District is high-quality and authentic. As our Cash Group Leader you will report to a Supervisor and oversee and contribute to the work of our teams in the verification of currency deposits and the packaging of currency orders. You also will direct team activities to meet performance metrics, identify team training needs and coach team members. Additionally, you will resolve complex operational and balancing problems and provide feedback to management regarding work processes and possible improvements within the cash operation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a team member in Vault Operations completing essential daily tasks.
• Monitor operations to provide direction to team members as necessary to ensure processing plans stay on track and adjust plans as needed.
• Develop staff through ongoing coaching to ensure tasks are completed as learned with an emphasis on compliance and process.
• Partner with group leaders in other units and direct supervisor to develop processing plans for the day and to adjust plans as necessary.
• Update data in automated system to accurately balance team holdings and accurately updating statistical reports provided to the Board of Governors. Trouble shoot balancing problems and assist with the problem resolution.
• Collaborate with Cash Management to address operational and staff issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of Math, Balancing, Accounting and basic 10-key skills highly desirable
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
