If so, Guardian is seeking a Manager Corporate Finance Center of Excellence.
You are:


  • A self-starter who is fueled by collaboration, able to transform conceptual thinking into executable insights who thrives in partnering across Finance.
  • Interested in supporting the end-to-end processing of financial data and will work closely with business partners to transform their processes into effective, efficient, and scalable solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate functioning of the newly implemented Oracle Cloud financial systems and modules, through system processing and issue resolution.
  • Able to manage system and master data change governance and participate in project portfolio management and implementation of continuous improvements.
You will:

  • Support the Financial close in end-to-end financial transaction processing within our new suite of Financial systems.
  • Support the Director of Corporate Finance Center of Excellence in governing over the new Oracle suite of Financial solutions.
  • Provide systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of technical solutions within the Oracle ERP and EPM systems and other supporting business applications.
  • Manage daily processing and functional support of financial systems from source to report.
  • Ensure integrity and timeliness of financial data flows through performance of reconciliations, error handling and issue management.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement modifications of the Oracle Cloud financial systems.
  • Serves as a key technical/functional intermediary between IT and all business functions dependent on financial systems.
  • Manage system and data change governance, including maintenance of system and control documentation.
  • Implement and conduct regression testing for system enhancements, upgrades, updates, patches, and fixes for optimal system performance, data integrity, and reliability.
  • Support audits of systems and system processes with internal and external audit teams.
  • Manage system improvement projects, including key performance metrics and benefits tracking.
  • Maintain training documentation and conduct ongoing system, data and report training for finance system users.
  • Support acquisitions integration, global expansion and modules as the needs arise.
You have:

  • B/S in Finance, Accounting, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years progressive roles in overall business and accounting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud system processing and configurations.
  • Proficiency in insurance industry GAAP and Statutory accounting principles.
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions, reporting, controls, processes, and systems.
  • Experience designing/implementing systems, processes and/or data structures.
  • Ability to translate financial requirements to technology design.
  • Proficiency with project prioritization and portfolio management.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills at all levels of business and across cultures.
  • Proven ability to manage through change and ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis skills. Able to readily diagnose system deficiencies and independently design and implement effective solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation and change, constantly striving for improvement.
  • Adheres to and supports master data, system and report governance, best practices.
