Job Description:


PRO-Telligent, A Tetra Tech Company, urgently needs a Construction Manager for State Dept. construction project with Secret Clearance or higher for $225M 6 of 16 Acres US Embassy Compound Expansion and Renovation in Nairobi, Kenya with bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) starting in April/May. This is an active position, on an in progress project, not a proposal. You would join our Civil, Project Controls, Mechanical, and Electrical team.

The Project


  • $225M 6 of 16 Acres Compound Project - US Embassy Expansion and Renovation

    • New Office Annex (NOX) and Support Annex (SPX)
    • Service Compound Access Control (SCAC)
    • Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR)
    • (NOX) Expansion and Partial Renovation
    • Utility Building (UTL), Parking Structure (PKG)
    • Partial Chancery and USAID Renovations

  • Project duration is 18-24 months.


  • Housing and transportation allowances provided.


  • Uplift includes 20% of base salary as well as 10% COLA
  • Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 30 days paid time off a year, paid round trip flights home every 10 months on assignment)


Position Description

  • P rovide a wide range of construction management functions including providing USG leadership with expertise in planning, directing, management, and coordination of project to ensure it meets intended scope, schedule, and cost goals.

  • Coordinate efforts of staff, ensure an appropriate safety and accident prevention plan is implemented, assist in planning/scheduling work, and ensure any necessary licenses/permits are obtained.

  • Coordinate solutions to problems involving work procedures/complaints, receive/review/track submittals from contractor, maintain a "Daily Project Log", and prepare a "CM Monthly Report."

  • Assist in acquiring/utilizing local construction contractors, develop/maintain inventory, and support USG Project Director in all contract administration matters.


Requirements

  • US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
  • US Bachelor's in CM, ME, EE, CE, or Architecture
  • Current US PE license can substitute for degree
  • 7 years construction experience
  • ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor's or US PE
